Wonderful place to visit with kids who love animals. My daughters love the animal interaction and the prices are reasonable. R35 entrance fee and R20 a small bucket of feed. Plus the food is lovely and homely and reasonable. I also had the lemon meringue and it was huge and delicious.

Frequently asked questions

What are your opening times?

We are open Friday to Sunday, between 9am and 4:30pm. We are closed from Monday to Thursday as well as on Christmas day and New Year’s day. During the school holidays and on public holidays we are open Tuesday to Sunday from 9am to 4:30pm.

Why do you charge an entrance fee?

Firstly, the upkeep of the farm and all the animals is costly. If you have ever had to take a pet to the vet then you will know exactly what we mean! By charging an entrance fee we are also able to keep our prices down on food and drink.

Can we visit the Tea Garden without doing the farm activities?

Our Tea Garden is a lovely place to relax and enjoy a farmhouse breakfast, light meals, snacks and something delicious to drink. Check our current admission details when planning your visit.

How do I get to Holmeleigh Farmyard?

Drive along Kragga Kamma Road, passing the vet and Spar on your left, as well as Beverly Grove on your right. Pass over the railway crossing, driving approximately 5,4km until you see the Holmeleigh Farmyard sign on your left, just before the turn off to the right going into Butterfield Road. Follow the dirt road around the bend until you see the parking lot on your left hand side.
